[09-11-2022] Fresno County, CA – 30-Year-Old Pedestrian Struck and Killed by a Car in Northwest Fresno

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a 30-year-old male pedestrian was fatally struck by an automobile in Northwest Fresno on Saturday morning, September 10, 2022.

The authorities got a call regarding an accident at about 1:15 a.m. near Maroa Avenue. When they arrived, they discovered the pedestrian with serious injuries.

According to the investigation, a woman was heading east on Shaw Avenue when a man at the crosswalk crossed into her lane.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

According to officers, the driver was not hurt and is working on the investigation.

The CHP is awaiting a report to determine if drugs or alcohol contributed to the accident.

The investigation is still ongoing.
