Reckless Driving Accident Statistics

Aggressive and careless motorists put the lives of others in danger. Drunk drivers have no right to put others in danger.

All drivers should be held responsible for any damages they cause others while operating a motor vehicle recklessly. There has been a rise in the number of accidents in the United States, and careless drivers are to blame.

There are about 90 deaths per day due to the roughly 6 million accidents that occur in the United States annually. Every year, three million people are injured in car accidents, and two million of them are permanently disabled as a result.

Reckless driving is defined by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) as the combination of three or more moving violations that create an immediate and substantial risk to the safety of persons or property.

More than a third of all traffic fatalities can be attributed to careless or drunk driving.

All of these blunders occur due to a lack of careful attention. Drivers frequently engage in risky behaviors like speeding, following too closely, and racing. All forms of distracted driving, including texting and talking on the phone, are dangerous and should be avoided.
