Single-Vehicle Crash Statistics
In California, a shockingly high number of people pass away in collisions involving a single vehicle every year.
62% of all traffic-related fatalities in California are attributed to single-vehicle accidents, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The Golden State has many distractions that can keep you from paying full attention to the road when you’re behind the wheel.
A collision involving just one vehicle may be the result of numerous factors. Driving at high speeds and making sharp turns on slick roads increases the risk of accidents and runaways. There may be trash on the street, such as a broken tree branch or a piece of debris from a truck.
The terms of your insurance policy might restrict your ability to recover costs related to the accident even if the single-vehicle collision was not your fault or the fault of another driver. This would hold even if you or another driver were not at fault for the crash.
San Joaquin County Car Accident Lawyers
The majority of accident victims are unable to resume their jobs or studies. Even if reckless driving results in another person’s death, it is still illegal. Families may file a wrongful death claim against the negligent driver’s insurance provider when a person dies in a car accident as a result of the negligence of another driver.
Witnesses frequently have to speak in front of a sizable audience in depositions and trials while recalling traumatic losses. Things that are still in court can be detrimental to people’s mental health.
Following a collision, action must be taken immediately to ensure that the at-fault driver is held accountable. When negligence causes a large number of deaths, someone must bear responsibility. Even though it can be exhausting, filing a wrongful death lawsuit can aid families who have lost a loved one. This choice will significantly impact how Californians drive.
