A 72-year-old Orosi woman was struck by a car and killed on Thursday night, September 29, 2022.
According to California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. in Orosi, a town in Tulare County, close to Avenue 416 and Road 125.
When the authorities arrived, they saw the severely wounded woman lying on the road.
She died at the Kaweah Health Medical Center after being transported.
According to CHP, the woman was struck by a white SUV being operated by an unidentified man, who then fled the scene.
It is still unknown whether alcohol played a role, and the suspect is still at large.
The crash remains under investigation.
