[10-01-2022] Woman Injured and 3-Year-Old Son Severely Injured in Hit-And-Run Crash in Florence AreaAccording to the Los Angeles Police Department, a woman was injured, along with her 3-year-old son, who suffered severe injuries after a hit-and-run collision in Florence Saturday, October 11, 2022.

The collision transpired Saturday in the crosswalk at Broadway and 80th Street.

Elsa Z. and her son Dominick were traveling northbound on Broadway when a driver struck them in a black compact SUV traveling too fast.

Elsa was only left with minor injuries due to the collision; however, her son was left with life-threatening injuries.

The driver did not stop to identify themselves or assist the people hit by the car.

The victim, only three years old, has already had surgery and is currently being observed at a facility that treats children.
