San Diego County Hit-and-Run Accident Lawyers

California law requires hit-and-run drivers to report their accidents. There are consequences if you leave the scene of an accident without calling the police or alerting the other drivers. You run the risk of losing driving privileges and getting jail or prison time for this. Additionally, you expose yourself to civil lawsuits from individuals who want to extort money from you.

The law does not regard a hit-and-run as a typical accident. They almost always make it harder to get payment from insurance companies and evade drivers. Working with a lawyer with experience defending hit-and-run accident victims can be beneficial.
