[10-05-2023] Los Angeles County, CA – Elderly Woman Killed After Being Struck by Two Vehicles in Sunland

An elderly pedestrian was killed after a hit-and-run and car collision in Los Angeles early Thursday, October 5, 2023.

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to reports of the incident around 5:30 a.m. on 10500 Block Sunland Boulevard.

According to the initial investigation, an unidentified vehicle struck an elderly woman as she was crossing Sunland Boulevard and then sped away. Immediately after that, a second vehicle struck the victim.

The pedestrian was declared dead on the scene. Police cited that a senior living facility is nearby, but it is unknown if the woman lived there.

The driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities, while the driver of the first vehicle has yet to be located and identified.
