[10-05-2025] San Diego County, CA โ€“ Bicyclist Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle on Troy Street in Lemon Grove

Marco Q., a 35-year-old man from San Diego, was fatally injured when a black Chevrolet Silverado struck him while he was bicycling at night on Troy Street in Lemon Grove on Sunday evening, October 5, 2025.

According to the San Diego County Medical Examiner‘s Office and Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred shortly before 9:30 p.m. in the 8500 block of Troy Street, just east of Camino De Las Palmas.

Paramedics transported Quintero to Scripps Mercy Hospital in Hillcrest, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Sheriffโ€™s Sgt. William Price reported that neither intoxication nor reckless driving was believed to be a factor in the fatal collision.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
