Single-Vehicle Crash Statistics

In California, a shockingly high number of people are hurt or killed in single-car accidents. If there is only one car in the accident, only that car will be damaged.

Two things that could set off the alarm are leaving the road or hitting a fixed object. These accidents happen because of drunk drivers, tired drivers, blocked views, and bad weather.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that accidents with only one car cause 62% of traffic deaths in California. For safe driving in California, you must keep your eyes on the road and be aware of your surroundings.

Many different things can cause a single-car crash. Accidents and runaways are more likely to happen when the roads are wet, especially when drivers make quick or sharp turns. Truck cargo and downed trees or branches are two examples of things that could be dangerous on the side of the road.

Another driver’s carelessness may have caused a single-car accident, but your insurance policy may make it very hard for you to get compensation.
