According to the authorities, a two-vehicle collision injured at least one person near Valley Plaza Mall in Bakersfield Saturday night, October 8, 2022.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash occurred around 7:30 p.m. at Ming Avenue and Wible Road near the Valley Plaza Mall.
The collision resulted in injuries for one person, who was transported to a hospital in an ambulance; however, one woman was observed yelling obscenities at the responding officers.
When one of the women at the scene became belligerent, two officers were forced to take her to the ground and subdue her.
After some time, the woman was placed in handcuffs and taken away in the police cruiser. It was unclear whether or not the woman was taken into custody.
The information about the victim’s injuries, including how severe they were, was not immediately made public.
The investigators are still trying to determine what caused the collision.
