[10-10-2022] Several People Suffered Injuries in a Supermarket Following a Vehicle Crash in RialtoAccording to the local news, eight people suffered injuries after a vehicle crash involving a pickup driven by a 74-year-old woman who crashed into Stater Brothers Supermarket in Rialto on Monday, October 10, 2022.

The mishap transpired around 9:45 a.m. in the 100 block of East Baseline Road.

The driver attempted to park in a handicapped space but failed to put her Toyota Tundra into the park. She mistakenly pressed the brake instead of the gas pedal.

In the end, the truck entered the store about 30 feet deep, striking several cash registers.

Five people reported pain, while two had broken bones. Additionally, the driver was taken to a hospital for medical attention.

The victims have not been identified.

According to police, the crash was an accident, and no one will be arrested.

The store was closed while it was being cleaned.

Police tape was covering the store entrance in the video taken over the crash scene by Sky5 as emergency personnel entered and exited the building.
