[10-14-2025] San Diego County, CA โ€“ Bicyclist Killed in Collision with Mercedes-Benz at Quail Canyon Road and Blossom Valley Road in Blossom Valley

A 58-year-old man was killed after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle in Blossom Valley in San Diego County on Tuesday afternoon, October 14, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 3:50 p.m. at the intersection of Quail Canyon Road and Blossom Valley Road.

The man, an El Cajon resident, was riding his bicycle without a helmet when he entered the intersection and was struck by a Mercedes-Benz driven by a 55-year-old El Cajon woman.

The bicyclist died at the scene before being transported to a hospital. His identity has not been released. The driver of the Mercedes suffered minor injuries, while her passenger was uninjured.

CHP confirmed that alcohol or drugs were not suspected to be factors in the crash.
