[10-16-2023] Riverside County, CA – Two People Hospitalized After Single-Vehicle Collision on Magnolia Avenue

Two people were hospitalized following a single-vehicle crash in Riverside early Monday morning, October 16, 2023.

According to the authorities, the collision occurred shortly after 5 a.m. at Van Buren Boulevard and Magnolia Avenue.

A vehicle with two occupants hit the curb, crossed the sidewalk, and crashed into a sushi restaurant. They were trapped in the vehicle and rescued after about 20 minutes before being transported to a local hospital in an unknown state.

The restaurant’s wall was destroyed, and the parking sign was also damaged. As investigations continued, the boulevard was expected to remain closed for a few hours in the westbound direction.

There were no other injuries or alcohol or drugs involved, but high speed was suspected in the crash. Further details are unavailable at this time.
