[10-21-2022] 40-Year-Old Pedestrian Woman Struck and Killed by Vehicle in FresnoAccording to the authorities, a pedestrian woman was killed after being struck by a car in Fresno late Friday evening, October 21, 2022.

The deadly collision transpired at 11:46 p.m. in the vicinity of West Shaw Avenue, on the corner of North Bryan Avenue and West Fairmont Avenue.

According to Lieutenant Mike Gebhart, a driver called the police to report that he had hit a woman walking on the roadway there.

The woman, who was said to be in her forties, was taken to the hospital in an ambulance, but she was pronounced dead once she arrived there.

According to Gebhart, the driver stayed at the scene of the accident and cooperated.

At least three hours were lost due to the closure of Bryan in the northbound direction.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating the matter.
