[10-23-2023] Riverside County, CA – Minor Bicyclist Hospitalized After Hit-and-Run Collision in East Hemet

An unidentified minor bicyclist was hospitalized after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in East Hemet, Riverside County, on Monday morning, October 23, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at about 9:20 a.m. near the intersection of Mayberry Avenue and Meridian Street.

The bicyclist was struck by a sedan that shortly fled the scene as he rode westbound on Mayberry toward Dartmouth Middle School. Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.

Officers were investigating the residence where the car was parked, but it is not yet known if the suspect was apprehended or not.
