[10-24-2022] Fresno County, CA – Two People Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash Involving Big Rig in Fresno

According to the California Highway Patrol, two unidentified women were killed after a two-vehicle crash involving a big rig in Fresno County Monday afternoon, October 24, 2022.

California Highway Patrol said the crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. near Shields and Russell Avenues.

According to the reports of the responding officers, the driver of the Toyota that was struck by the tractor-trailer did not appear to stop at the stop sign.

At the scene, two women inside the Toyota were pronounced dead. The driver sustained severe injuries and was transported to the hospital.

The driver of the large truck was not hurt in the accident.

According to the officers, it does not appear that drugs or alcohol were factors in this incident.

The investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
