According to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety, minor injuries were sustained by two people, including an officer on duty with the RPPD, after a two-vehicle collision in Rohnert Park Monday night, October 24, 2022.
According to a Nixle alert from police, the collision occurred at about 9:10 p.m. on Rohnert Park Expressway near State Farm Drive.
The report states that the driver ran a red light and collided with the police car, injuring the officer inside.
Police say a silver Honda sedan traveling west on Rohnert Park Expressway ran a red light and collided with a police car making a left turn from the highway onto State Farm Drive.
The collision caused minor injuries to both drivers and severe damage to both vehicles.
