[11-06-2022] Three Injured, One Critical, in Single Vehicle Rollover near OrcuttAccording to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, three people were injured following a pickup rollover south of Orcutt on early Sunday morning, November 6, 2022.

The firefighters who responded said the single-vehicle rollover transpired at 1:52 a.m. on the southbound lanes of Highway 101, south of Orcutt and the Solomon Summit.

Fire Capt. Scott Safechuck stated that a red pickup truck, a Toyota Tundra, carrying three people, had veered off the road, flipped over, struck a tree, and caught fire.

Two male occupants were able to extricate themselves from the car. One of them was taken to Marian Regional Center in Santa Maria for sustaining minor injuries, while the other refused treatment against the paramedics’ advice on the site.

A female occupant was extricated from the burning vehicle by an officer of California Highway Patrol and a bystander. She was taken to the same hospital for sustaining critical injuries.

There is no information released regarding their identities. The female occupant’s condition is unknown at the moment.

The California Highway Patrol was looking into the collision.
