Two people were hospitalized after their vehicle drove over the bluffs in Santa Monica on Saturday morning, November 26, 2022.
According to the Santa Monica Police Department, the crash caused by a DUI driver occurred around 12:25 a.m. on Ocean and Montana Avenues.
Responders arrived at the scene to find the vehicle on a flat surface roughly 50 feet west into the bluffs, with a few feet of space down onto PCH.
Further inquiry revealed that the car had failed to make a left or right turn and drove into Palisades Park, smashing through the barrier and into the bluffs.
Two people were found inside the car. Both were taken to a nearby hospital for sustaining minor injuries.
The driver was later issued a felony DUI citation as the investigation continued.
