Authorities confirmed that the crash transpired around 6:29 p.m. on Rutgers Avenue.

According to reports, the minivan driver was heading south when he lost control and ran off the road, striking a traffic signal post.

He proceeded south, passing through the light pole intersection where another man waited for the light to turn green east on East H Street.

As a result, the minivan struck the car, sending both vehicles off the road and up an embankment.

The car’s engine flew out, landing approximately 75 feet from other vehicles on the7 street.

When authorities arrived at the scene, the minivan driver suffered a leg injury and was immediately transported to a hospital.

Meanwhile, the other driver was left unharmed.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
