The crash occurred around 12:17 a.m. in the 11200 block of Exposition Boulevard.

Responding to the scene, the Los Angeles Fire Department and the Los Angeles Police Department’s Pacific and West Traffic Division found two occupants in the Tesla. They were transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.

The impact of the crash severely damaged the front of both the bus and the Tesla, but details regarding the bus, including whether it was occupied at the time, remain unclear.

The cause of the collision is under investigation. No further information has been released at this time.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has released its traffic fatality projections for 2022, estimating 42,795 deaths due to motor vehicle crashes. This marks a slight decrease of 0.3% from the 42,939 fatalities reported in 2021.
