[12-08-2022] One Killed, Three More Hospitalized in Moreno Valley Two-Vehicle CollisionOne person was killed and three more were injured following a two-vehicle collision in Moreno Valley on Friday evening, December 08, 2022.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the fatal crash occurred around 8:15 p.m. at Iris Avenue and Kitching Street intersection.

Arnold P., 19, of Coachella, was traveling through the intersection on Toyota Sequoia when it crashed with a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.

Responders from Riverside County Fire Department arrived at the scene and declared the Toyota driver dead on the spot.

An occupant of the Toyota sustained major injuries and was transported to the Riverside University Medical Center.

The Silverado also had two occupants who received non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to the same hospital for treatment.

The officers said it was still unclear if drugs or alcohol may have had a role in the crash. Anyone who may have seen the crash is urged to contact the sheriff’s Moreno Valley Station.

While the debris was removed, the intersection was closed for a while.
