[10-07-2022] Tuolumne County, CA – Three People Injured After DUI Collision in Sonora

According to the Sonora Police Department, three people were injured following a two-vehicle collision in Sonora on Friday, October 07, 2022.

The officers reported that the collision happened on Friday on South Washington Street and West Stockton Street in the downtown area, near Restano Way.

The police were called to the scene to discover two vehicles were involved. Shannon R., 28, was driving when she struck another car. She was later found to be driving under the influence.

Rysak was unharmed, while the driver of the other vehicle and its two passengers all sustained injuries to the neck, arm, and back.

The injured individuals received medical attention at Adventists Health Sonora after being taken by ground ambulance. Their identities were not released by the authorities.

Rysak was arrested for felony DUI with an alcohol level of over .08 and detained on a $25,000 bail.

The officers are conducting further investigation.
