The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said a pedestrian was killed after getting struck by a vehicle in Hesperia on Sunday evening, November 6, 2022.
According to the Sheriff’s officials, the collision transpired at 10:29 p.m. near Cottonwood Avenue and Juniper Street.
The official report stated that Andrew L., a 31-year-old Hesperia resident, was heading north when a 2017 Nissan Altima hit him in the northbound lane of Cottonwood Avenue.
The responders took Lopez to a local hospital, where he was declared dead after sustaining critical injuries.
There was no other information concerning the driver. The investigation was taken over by investigators from the Hesperia Station Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT), who responded to the crash.
According to a sheriff’s press release, it is still being investigated whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
