The fatal crash reportedly occurred at 3:20 a.m. eastbound on Interstate 10.

According to authorities, the victim crashed her Ford Escape into the back of a Honda Accord.

After colliding with some Tamarisk trees, the victim continued driving southeast before flipping over on its side.

Her seatbelt was not fastened when she was discovered to have died in the vehicle.

Meanwhile, the Honda was found empty on the right shoulder.

It is currently unclear whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
