[11-07-2022] Motorcyclist Seriously Injured After Colliding with Semi-Truck in ThermalThe California Highway Patrol said a motorcyclist got seriously injured after colliding with a semi-truck in Thermal on Monday afternoon, November 7, 2022.

According to the CHP, the crash occurred at 4:30 p.m. on the Highway 86 Expressway close to Avenue 76.

The motorcycle rider reportedly got stuck underneath the big rig. The rider was transported to a hospital by helicopter after sustaining critical injuries.

There was no information concerning the identity and condition of the truck driver.

Additional reports from Cal Fire stated that a small fire started under the semi-truck. A small area of grass is also on fire. It was put out at 5:04 p.m.

What caused the collision is uncertain as the investigation continued.
