[11-23-2022] Fresno County, CA – Suspected DUI Driver Arrested After Three-Vehicle Collision in Fowler

The driver of a vehicle suspected of DUI was arrested following a collision involving three cars in Fowler Wednesday morning, November 23, 2022.

Authorities reported that the crash transpired around 3:00 a.m. south of Manning Avenue in the northbound lanes of Highway 99.

According to reports, a Toyota driver was traveling north when he spun out, collided with the center divider, and struck a pickup truck, causing it to veer off the road.

When responders arrived at the scene, they freed the trapped passenger from another pickup truck after it overturned.

The passenger was rushed to the hospital with minor wounds.

Meanwhile, the two other cars’ occupants received minor medical attention.

Highway 99 northbound was reduced to two lanes for about an hour.

A driver was found to be under the influence and arrested.

Further investigation is still ongoing.
