[12-06-2022] Riverside County, CA – One Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash Caused by Loose Truck Wheel in 91 Freeway

One was injured when a loose wheel from a truck led to a multi-vehicle crash in Riverside on Tuesday morning, December 06, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash involving at least five cars occurred around midnight along the 91 Freeway.

All cars sustained significant damage. One was damaged on its passenger side, with the doors almost torn off.

One person was reportedly injured in the crash, but none was seriously hurt and transported to the hospital.

The Riverside Fire Department also responded to the crash, which caused a traffic backup up to the 60 Freeway interchange.

The CHP is looking into the mystery of where the wheel came from, but no information has been released so far.
