Multi-Vehicle Collision Statistics
Car accidents are projected to inflict more severe injuries and fatalities in the United States than all other types combined. Each year, over 200,000 individuals are injured or killed in automobile accidents.
As per the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a car accident occurs every 60 seconds. About 3,300 people were killed in car accidents in California in 2016. Human error is responsible for more than 94% of accidents.
According to the National Safety Council, one in every ten Americans is killed in an automobile accident yearly. In 2019, approximately 2,765,000 individuals were hurt in California car accidents, and 3,889 died. Since 2013, there has been a 23.5% surge in car accidents.
The presence of three or more automobiles constitutes a multi-vehicle accident. Six cars could be entrapped in the wreckage of a car accident.
