[12-11-2022] Los Angeles County, CA – Two People Injured After Rollover Crash Due to DUI Driver in Rosemead

Two people were injured in a rollover crash due to drunk driving in Rosemead on Sunday morning, December 11, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly before 1:00 a.m. on the 10 Freeway east of Santa Anita Boulevard.

A witness claimed the driver was driving erratically. The car then veered across lanes and slammed into the side of a busy-only overpass. The vehicle toppled over and rolled onto its side, landing next to the highway shoulder not far from the moving traffic lane.

Bystanders started jumping in to save the driver and its passenger, who was believed to be the driver’s father, trapped in the car.

First responders arrived at the scene later, managed to extricate the occupants, and gave them medical treatment. There are no updates on their current condition as of yet.

The CHP noted that the driver was given a citation for DUI or drunk driving before being sent to the hospital.
