[09-12-2022] Fatal Hit-and-Run Accident Leaves One Dead in HollywoodOne pedestrian was killed after a hit-and-run accident in Hollywood on Monday, September 12, 2022.

According to the LAPD, the accident transpired at around 8:45 p.m. at North McCadden Place on Sunset Boulevard as the suspect approached with a white 2018 Audi S5.

The Audi driver made a U-turn before continuing to drive west on Sunset.

The driver then got out, stopped an LAPD officer, pointed him in the direction of the pedestrian, got back in, and drove off eastbound on Sunset, according to the police.

Unfortunately, paramedics pronounced the pedestrian dead after arriving on the scene.

Authorities could not determine why the person was lying on the road before the collision.

The victim’s identity was kept private until the next of kin was notified.

The LAPD reported that alcohol and drugs may have been a factor in this crash, adding that the death was still under investigation.

Police issued a public request for help on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, to locate the hit-and-run driver who killed a person in Hollywood.

Detectives from the LAPD Traffic Division are looking for anyone with information about the fatal hit-and-run. Their number is 213-473-0234.
