A train collision resulted in the death of an unidentified pedestrian in downtown Bakersfield on Wednesday night, January 25, 2023.
According to reports, the fatal crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. close to the intersection of H and 32nd streets.
Authorities received calls and responded after someone had been hit on the tracks in the area.
A witness discovered the body and immediately contacted officers and responders.
Details on the victim’s identity have not been released, and investigations are underway.
