[02-19-2023] Two People Killed After Plane Crash West of ColfaxAuthorities reported that two people got killed in a small airplane crash in Nevada County on Sunday afternoon, February 19, 2023.

According to the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. in a rural area on Dog Bar Road and Amber Street, west of Colfax, northeast of Sacramento.

While not immediately known, the cause of the crash was being investigated by officials from the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board.

Officials said no one else was hurt in the crash. The victims’ names have not yet been made public.

The authorities released no further information.
