Fatal Reckless Accident Statistics
Reckless driving causes thousands of accidents and hundreds of deaths each year in the United States. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, “willful disregard” for the safety of other motorists constitutes reckless driving.
The annual death toll from careless driving is probably very difficult to measure. Nonetheless, according to the AAA, irresponsible driving was a factor in 56% of traffic accidents from 2003 to 2007.
According to annual data, excessive speed is the main cause of auto accidents that result in unintended deaths and injuries in the United States. Drunk drivers also contribute significantly to the chaos on American highways.
What to Do After a Car Accident
It is imperative to contact the police immediately following an automobile accident. It’s crucial to be honest and forthright and avoid making assumptions while dealing with authorities or insurance companies. The insurance company might not pay out if the victim of an accident apologizes for what happened, even though they were completely innocent.
