A male pedestrian was killed after a hit-and-run accident in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, early Thursday morning, May 11, 2023.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the man was struck at around 3:50 a.m. near Hinds Avenue and Saticoy Street.
As seen in on-scene footage, the man ended up in the right-most lane, west of Saticoy Street. He was proclaimed dead at the scene.
The vehicle reportedly fled the scene without trying to aid the victim.
Information on the suspect and whether or not the victim was homeless was not immediately available. Investigators are hoping that surveillance footage from the area will provide leads.
Authorities are still investigating the fatal crash.
