[05-16-2023] Riverside County, CA – 14-Year-Old Girl Severely Injured After Being Struck by Car While Riding Her Murrieta

A 14-year-old bicyclist from French Valley was severely injured after being struck by a car in Riverside County on Tuesday afternoon, May 16, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol said the incident occurred at 3:46 p.m. in the 37300 block of Pourroy Road.

According to the report, the female bicyclist was struck by a blue Dodge Ram truck. The truck driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with the ongoing investigation.

In response to the severity of the injuries, emergency responders summoned an airship to transport the victim to a hospital. No update is available regarding the child’s condition in the incident.

To allow the airship to land, Pourroy Road was temporarily closed, causing traffic congestion in the area.

The (CHP) is actively investigating the cause of the crash.
