A man named Jared M.[05-20-2023] Man Died After Two-Vehicle Crash on I-8 in Flinn Springs died in a two-vehicle crash in Flinn Springs, San Diego County, on Saturday night, May 20, 2023.

The San Diego County Responders said the accident occurred at 5:00 p.m. on Interstate 8 near Lake Jennings Park Road.

According to the report, Martineau, a resident of Lakeside, was driving eastward when his Ford pickup truck collided with another vehicle, causing it to roll over multiple times before stopping on the west side of the freeway.

Following the collision, Martineau was forcefully thrown out of his vehicle, leading to significant injuries to his head and upper body.

He was subsequently taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where, unfortunately, he succumbed to the injuries sustained in the crash after nine days.

The investigation is ongoing.
