[03-29-2024] San Luis Obispo County, CA – Injuries Reported After Pursuit Led To Reckless Vehicle Collision Involving DUI in Paso Robles

Injuries were reported after a pursuit led to reckless vehicle collision in Paso Robles on Friday afternoon, March 29, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 1:07 p.m. along State Route 46.

Authorities stated that the CHP’s Coalinga unit was in pursuit of a silver Toyota Camry traveling westbound from Kings County into San Luis Obispo County. The driver of Toyota exited at the Bradley Road, where he lost control and crashed into a traffic sign and chain-link fence.

Prior the final crash, the suspect caused two separate hit-and-run collisions, one involving wrong-way driving and property damage along U.S. 101 north of Exline Road, and another resulting in minor injuries at 10th Street.

Police identified the suspect as Mandeep B.,27, from Fresno and his 67-year-old passenger as Charanjit S. Both are taken to the hospital. Drugs and alcohol are suspected factors.

The suspect was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail for felony evading and misdemeanor hit-and-run.

No further information was released. Investigations are ongoing.
