[01-09-2025] Alameda County, CA – One Dead in Work-Related Accident in Oakland

One person was killed in a work-related accident in Oakland on Thursday morning, January 9, 2025.

According to the Oakland Police Department, officers responded to the 400 block of 30th Street shortly before 11 a.m.

Upon arrival, they found an unresponsive individual with major injuries. Paramedics pronounced the person dead at the scene.

The initial investigation revealed that the incident was related to a work activity, though the exact type of workplace is unclear.

Authorities noted that construction was taking place at this address in the Pill Hill neighborhood.

The identity of the deceased has not been released, and the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
