[06-08-2026] Fresno County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Motorcycle at Maple and Garland Ave.

A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a motorcycle in Fresno on Monday night, June 8, 2026.

According to Fresno Police, officers responded around 9:30 p.m. to the incident near the intersection of Maple and Garland avenues, south of Dakota Avenue.

Authorities stated that both the pedestrian and motorcyclist were found in the roadway upon arrival. The pedestrian, a woman, was pronounced dead at the scene and reportedly lost a foot.

The motorcycle rider sustained injuries and received first aid at the scene before being transported to a local hospital for treatment. The rider’s condition has not been released.

Police indicated that the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Maple Avenue at the time of the incident.

The investigation remains ongoing.
