[04-17-2026] Alameda County, CA – E-Bike Rider Injured After Collision With Car in Northwest Berkeley

A man in his 50s was injured after an e-bike collided with a vehicle in northwest Berkeley on Friday afternoon, April 17, 2026.

According to early reports, the crash occurred just after 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Cedar Street and San Pablo Avenue.

The e-bike rider reportedly struck a car and was thrown over the handlebars during the collision. Authorities said the rider was conscious at the scene but sustained visible injuries. He was transported “Code 3” with lights and sirens to Highland Hospital, a regional trauma center.

The driver remained at the scene following the crash.

Berkeley police are investigating the circumstances of the collision.
