[10-21-2026] Contra Costa County, CA – Pedestrian Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle in Antioch

A 41-year-old man sustained injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Antioch on Wednesday evening, October 21, 2026.

According to the Antioch Police Department, an off-duty officer found the man lying in the roadway near L and West 18th streets at around 8:15 p.m.

The man appeared to have injuries to his head and leg. He was transported to a hospital and is expected to survive.

Police said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officers. Impairment was not suspected as a contributing factor.

The investigation remains ongoing.
