Two people were injured, one in critical condition, after a major head-on crash near Maple Avenue on Saturday afternoon, April 9, 2022.
The collision happened on Mariposa Road, near Maple Avenue in Hesperia, at approximately 3:20 p.m.
A white Chevy pickup truck and a red Audi sedan collided head-on under unclear circumstances. Due to the severity of the impact, both vehicles sustained major front-end damage.
One person sustained critical injuries in the mishap and was airlifted to Desert Valley Hospital before getting airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center.
Meanwhile, another person sustained unspecified injuries and was also hospitalized for treatment. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed.
An active investigation of the collision is currently underway.
