According to Officer Rodrigo Jimenez of the California Highway Patrol, the suspect, 19-year-old Noe M. of Palmdale, was driving a Toyota Camry east on the No. 1 lane.

The Nissan’s driver was killed on the spot.
According to Jimenez, Manzanarez was only slightly hurt, while the Ford’s driver, a 34-year-old Rancho Cucamonga man, was unharmed.
According to Manzanarez, officers arrested him on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and felony DUI causing injury or death.

Manzanarez was arrested and booked at the Industry Station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
He was being held at the Inmate Reception Center in lieu of $100,000 bail.
