One unidentified woman was killed in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Fresno early Friday morning, May 13, 2022.

[05-13-2022] Fresno County, CA - One Woman Killed in Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash at Shaw and CorneliaThe police say they received a report of a person dead around 2:00 a.m. in the La Quinta Inn parking lot at Shaw and Cornelia.

Officers discovered the victim was a woman when they arrived.

According to surveillance footage, a pickup truck dragged her from the crash site to the parking lot.

The pickup truck driver then removed the victim, left the body behind, and drove away.

He was last seen driving toward Shaw on Cornelia Avenue.

According to investigators, the woman was hit by the suspect, she was pushing a shopping cart and walking her dog on a leash at the intersection of Herndon and Millburn.

Her identity has yet to be revealed.

She was trapped under the pickup truck after the crash, which dragged her for about 8 miles before stopping at the La Quinta Inn.

The suspect vehicle is described as a newer model Chevy Silverado, full size, crew cab, grey or silver.

A moon roof, a light bar, and a silver toolbox in the bed are all included. The collision has also caused significant front-end damage.
