[05-16-2022] San Bernardino County, CA – 81-Year-Old Woman Injured After Getting Assaulted on Lacy Street

An 81-year-old woman was allegedly abused and prevented from calling for help by a Victorville man on Monday, May 16, 2022.

According to a news release issued by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the assault occurred around 6:45 a.m. at a residence in the 16000 block of Lacy Street.

According to the news release, law enforcement arrived to find the 81-year-old woman suffering from minor injuries.

The victim claimed that the suspect, Mark G., 65, had physically restrained her, slapped her, and prevented her from calling 911 for assistance.

The identity of the victim was not disclosed.

Greenard was charged with elder abuse, causing damage to a communications device with the intent to prevent help, and false imprisonment.
