One person was killed while four people were hurt following a major two-vehicle crash on Highway 20 on Saturday evening, June 4, 2022.
The major collision transpired at approximately 6:30 p.m. in the area of Highway 20, near Chalk Bluff Road.
An eastbound 2002 Acura TL was traveling on the highway when it failed to navigate a right curve in the roadway, which caused the Acura to veer into the westbound lanes.
The Acura then collided head-on with an oncoming 2002 Ford F-350 hauling a livestock trailer.
Unfortunately, a 37-year-old female passenger inside the Acura was killed in the mishap. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, four other people sustained moderate to major injuries. A 77-year-old man identified as Donald M. and 67-year-old Denise M. were both taken to Sutter Roseville Medical Center.
A 43-year-old passenger inside the Ford identified as Matt P. sustained minor injuries. The Acura driver was taken to a Sacramento hospital after sustaining major injuries.
Local authorities are further investigating the cause of the crash.
