Car Crash Statistics
Single-vehicle collisions are among the most dangerous on California’s roads, but many drivers are unaware of this.
According to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) data, only one vehicle is involved in six out of ten fatal car accidents in California. If you drive in California, you need to know what causes single-car accidents and how to avoid them.
It is possible that a single vehicle collided with another for many different reasons. At high speeds or while making sharp turns, single-car accidents are more likely to occur on wet and icy roads. Large trees and truck bed debris are also examples of roadside litter.
Even if an unexpected event causes an accident, your insurance policy’s comprehensive coverage may put a cap on how much you can be compensated.
Riverside County Car Accident Lawyers
Many people injured in car accidents cannot return to work or school because of their injuries. Regardless of the number of people killed, those responsible for a car accident are held accountable. Families of victims who died in a car accident can file a lawsuit against the negligent driver.
Despite their best efforts, they cannot finish this task. Depositions and trials require victims to testify about the harm they have suffered in front of strangers. A protracted legal battle can significantly impact one’s mental health.
In the event of an accident, drivers should be held responsible. Because so many people have died due to someone else’s negligence, it is critical to hold those responsible accountable. Families who have lost a loved one can seek compensation by filing a wrongful death claim. This is great news for California drivers everywhere.
