According to the police, three unrestrained children inside were seriously injured when a car rear-ended a truck at a red light in Skyline on Sunday, July 3, 2022.
The crash occurred at 6:49 am on Sunday in the 6600 block of Skyline Drive.
A 70-year-old driver of a 2019 Ford F250 was waiting at a red light. The San Diego Police Department stated that the man was prepared to turn left onto South Woodman Street.
The truck was struck by a second man, 25, who was heading east on Skyline Drive and was operating a 2001 Honda Accord with children inside.
All three of the children, two of whom are 3 years old and the third of whom is 4 years old, were taken to a hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The Honda driver reported experiencing neck pain.
Officers from the Traffic Division arrived on the scene to investigate the collision.
