[08-21-2022] Fresno County, CA – Motorcyclist Injured After Crashing to Shipping Container in Friant

According to the California Highway Patrol, a motorcyclist was injured after crashing into a shipping container in Friant Sunday morning, August 21, 2022.

The collision occurred just after 11:00 a.m. at Belcher Street and Friant Road in Friant.

The motorcycle driver was riding with a group of bikers when he hit the shipping container as he went around a curve.

The motorcycle and the rider went into the container together.

Fire crews had to cut the lock to enter the container and rescue the injured man because of the locked doors.

When first responders airlifted the rider to a hospital, he was awake and conversing with them.

Investigations are ongoing to determine what caused the collision.
